- What's the best time of year to build an outdoor kitchen?
- Design in winter or early spring, build in spring or summer — that gets you the full season of use. Fall builds are also common and often easier to schedule.
- Do outdoor kitchens survive Michigan winters?
- Built with the right materials, yes — masonry bases, granite or stone counters, and outdoor-rated appliances are made for freeze-thaw. Winterizing the plumbing each fall is the main seasonal task.
- Do I need gas, water, and electric run to the kitchen?
- It depends on the design — a built-in grill needs a gas line, sinks need water and drainage, lighting and outlets need power. We coordinate the utility runs as part of the project scope.
