Snow removal for retail centers and shopping plazas

Lots and storefront walks clear before the first store opens, so a storm does not cost your tenants a day of sales.

A retail lot that is not clear at opening costs you twice: tenants lose the morning's customers, and the walks in front of the stores turn into a slip-and-fall risk with the public on them. Shoppers drive past a lot that looks unplowed.

We have cleared retail properties across Macomb, Oakland, and St. Clair counties since 1993. Macomb Mall is on our commercial snow routes, and the same approach scales down to a strip center with six storefronts.

01

Open on time

Retail sites are sequenced so lots and walks are done before stores open, with crews back through the day when snow keeps falling. Your trigger depth is in the contract, and most retail owners set it low, because a lot that looks unplowed loses customers before it ever becomes a safety problem.

02

Parking you can still use

Every pile on a retail lot takes parking spaces, usually the good ones. We plan stacking areas before the season, keep piles out of the front rows and clear of sightlines at the entrances, and haul snow off-site on request after a heavy run of storms.

03

One number for the CAM budget

Snow is usually a common area maintenance charge passed through to tenants, which turns a surprise winter into a tenant-relations problem. All-inclusive pricing fixes the season at one number; per-push is quoted next to it on every proposal so you can compare.

Common questions

Will the lot be clear before the stores open?
That is how retail routes are sequenced: lots, drive aisles, and storefront walks first, ahead of opening, with crews back through the day if snow keeps falling. Your trigger depth is written into the contract.
How do you keep snow piles from taking up parking?
Stacking areas are planned with you before the season, away from the front rows and the entrance sightlines. When a heavy winter fills them, off-site hauling is available on request.
Can snow removal be budgeted as a fixed CAM cost?
Yes. All-inclusive pricing is one fixed price for the season with every event included, which gives you a known common area maintenance number to pass through. Per-push is quoted alongside it.
We own or manage several centers. Can one contract cover them?
Yes. Every center runs under one agreement with one account manager, from a single strip center to a portfolio across our service area.

Request a snow proposal

Tell us about the property, or the whole portfolio. A senior estimator walks the site, sets your trigger depth with you, and sends a written all-inclusive and per-push proposal. One site or fifty, you get one account manager.
